Title: Leap of Faith

In Leap of Faith, my friend Ellie Lofaro rightly encourages Christians to place their trust solely in God through the cross of Jesus Christ.
Charles W. Colson, Chairman, Prison Fellowship Ministries

Ellie Lofaro is refreshing. She is passionate, clear thinking, and compassionate. From her wealth of experience and biblical knowledge, Ellie has given us a powerful encouragement to “trust God!” no matter what, no matter when, no matter where. Ellie is a mom with three kids and a husband, who invites you into her heart and allows you to live, laugh, and learn with her”.
Jan Silvious, Speaker and author of Big Girls Don ’t Whine

Leap of Faith is filled with biblical truth, poignant personal stories, bottom-line honesty, and profound take-home value. With her characteristic humor women through every chapter, Ellie Lofaro teaches us how to survive in a fallen world. Whether on the platform as a speaker, or as a writer of substance, Ellie is one of the finest communicators of our time.
Carol Kent, Author and President of Speak Up! Speaker Services

Ellie’s latest offering, Leap of Faith, is her best work to date. You will be challenged, encouraged, inspired, and warmed by her fresh perspective and very practical application of timeless truths. The book reflects Ellie’s direct, humorous, yet tender approach to life. I love reading Leap of Faith-so will you.
Kathy Troccoli, Singer, speaker, and author of Living in Love with Jesus

With the color and vibrancy of a true Italian, Ellie Lofaro transports us to her childhood, where meals were “love affairs,” and the family lingered long, reluctant to part. Then she transports us to the world of a personal God, to the greatest “love affair.” You will want to linger long at this table, for it is a feast for the heart. I highly recommend Leap of Faith.
Dee Brestin, Teacher and author of A Women’s Journey Through Psalms and Living in Love with Jesus

Title: Bonding With The Blonde Women
Publisher: Cook Communications

God’s Grace and His Sense of Humor:
Bonding With the Blonde Women is a delightful collection of personal experiences that will touch the hearts and souls of women everywhere.

DALLAS/FORT WORTH, TX – What happens when a brunette, olive-skinned Italian native New Yorker is, for the first time in her life, uprooted from her home, her church, her friends and extended family and transplanted into a neighborhood of blonde women in northern Virginia? Ellie Lofaro knows.

At 36, God answered Ellie’s prayer for her husband Frank to grow deeper in his relationship with the Lord. Frank’s heart sensed God calling him to work in full-time ministry. His decision to work with Chuck Colson’s international ministry, Prison Fellowship, meant the family would have to leave New York and everything they loved, and to start a new life near Washington D.C. It wasn’t exactly what Ellie had in mind when she began praying for Frank.

In Bonding With the Blonde Women and Other Signs of God’s Grace (Cook Communications Ministries/Life Journey Brand, June, 2003), Ellie tells the hilarious, touching, and beguiling stories that chronicle her journey in growth and self-discovery that happened after she was uprooted from everything that was familiar to her. She opens her heart and pours out the struggles, roadblocks, and internal chaos that resulted. The personal growth and insight she shares illuminates those shadows that prevent some people from being able to recognize God’s magnificent grace in even the most mundane of life’s events.

In poignant, often sidesplitting, humorous stories, Ellie shares that the most important lessons that God has for His people are often taught not through mountaintop experiences, but through the heartaches, struggles and tedium of everyday life. She shares what she has learned about the misconceptions we have about each other and the misconceptions we often have about how we are perceived by others. In Bonding With the Blonde Women, Ellie teaches us how to find great joy and humor in our goal to become Christlike.

Ellie's first book Slices of Life was published nationally by Cook Communications. The book is available through this web site, CBD.com, Amazon.com, and your local Christian book store.

I occupy a very small corner of the world. I've been walking around in it for over 40 years and in many ways, I'm just beginning to truly enter in to the promised land. It's been a unique journey in some ways and a common one in others. You and I are one on so many levels-fellow sojourners on an ever changing road. There are hills and valleys, pitfalls and plateaus, lush meadows and brush fires. The joys and sorrows are continually interspersed. The challenges never seem to end.

God is full of surprises. He continues to pour out His Spirit. God is precisely where we are so sure He can't be. He is in our midst. For this I am so grateful--and full of hope. This hope is reflected in the forty essays/vignettes/scenes from my road.

As you read this book may you sense the Lord's presence in the hard lessons as well as light-hearted ones--in the laughter as well as the tears. You are invited to peek into my predicaments, prayers and private thoughts. I trust you will recognize some of them as your own.
